What is the purpose?
The first part of all our types of testing is inital verification. The purpose is to confirm that the
installation complies with the designers intentions and has been constructed to BS 7671, 17th edition wiring regulations. The inspection shall be carried out to verify:
• All fixed equipment and material is of the correct type and complies with all applicable British Standards
• All parts of the fixed installation are correctly selected and erected
• No part of the fixed installation is visibly damaged or otherwise defective
An electrical installation certificate together with a schedule of inspections and a schedule of test results is issued to the person ordering the work.
Type 1: Installation Electrical Test Certificate
We provide certification for installs ranging from additional circuits to full installations/rewires. All work is checked for compliance with BS 7671 17th edition wiring regulations.
Type 2: Periodic Inspection Report
We will verify whether an installation is safe for continued service via thorough inspection and testing, and either satisfactory or unsatisfactory certificate along with observation report.
Type 3: Minor Electrical Installation Work Certificate
For the replacement of accessories such as light fittings and plug sockets, also additions to existing circuits. We will inspect and test work, then issue certificate.
Type 4: Routine Checks
Routine check is a visual inspection of the entire installation to identify any damage that may have
occurred between period inspections and allow remedial action to be taken, reducing the number of items identified during a periodic inspection.
